SPFR100 is a transparent, water-based fire-retardant impregnation for absorbent wood, intended for interior and exterior applications. Its published EN 13501-1 B-s1,d0 classification applies to the certified spruce configuration stated in classification report K16/2024 and certificate ET-0388-24. Other substrates and configurations require project-specific verification. SPFR100 has a viscosity of 12.75 mPa·s.

In tinted solutions, we use high-quality iron oxide- and titanium dioxide-based pigments that help ensure good color stability in outdoor conditions.

SPFR100 has a formulation designed for exterior use on absorbent timber. Project suitability should be confirmed against the exposure conditions and current technical documents, and treated surfaces must be inspected and maintained according to the maintenance guide. SPFR100 does not currently claim an EN 16755 EXT durability classification.

Interior surfaces and structural timber treated with SPFR100 generally do not require separate renewal of the fire protection. Exterior surfaces should be inspected and, where necessary, renewed every 5-10 years, especially in areas exposed to weather. The typical maintenance coat consumption is approximately 120-140 ml/m².

The typical drying time of SPFR100 is 24-48 hours at around +20 °C and average relative humidity. Drying time is mainly affected by temperature, wood type, moisture, and ventilation.

Yes. SPFR100 is a solvent-free, formaldehyde-free, halogen-free, VOC-free, pH-neutral, and non-corrosive solution that meets M1 indoor air quality requirements and is well-suited for projects where health and environmental safety are important.

EN 13501-1 is the European standard used to classify the reaction to fire of construction materials. B-s1,d0 means:

B - the material is very limited in its contribution to fire
s1 - very little smoke is produced
d0 - no flaming droplets or particles are produced

The required reaction-to-fire classification and its applicability must always be verified against the project fire strategy and the product's certified configuration.

SPFR100 works on wood and wood-based materials, and is particularly well suited to common softwoods such as spruce (Picea abies), pine (Pinus sylvestris) and larch (Larix decidua), as well as plywood, CLT and log timber. Each species has different density, hardness and natural durability, which affect how it is used in facades, cladding and structures.
